About this Event
Connecting with students is one of the most basic ways to encourage their engagement and learning. Yet in times of high stress and constant change, it can be one of the most challenging things to do.
Presenter: Cheryl Paul, Senior Director, Engineering Advocacy & Well-being, Swanson School of Engineering
This conversation will:
• Highlight the myriad of support resources available to the Pitt community
• Encourage awareness of how self-care profoundly impacts engagement with others
• Explore ways to build connections using compassion & empathy
Participants will leave with a better understanding of the challenges currently facing our students; as well as a virtual toolbox of resources & suggestions to deploy as mechanisms to positively impact a student’s pathway to degree completion.
This session is open to Graduate Administrators and Faculty as part of the Graduate Studies Lunch & Learn series.
