Community of Practice Environmental Justice Meeting

The University of Pittsburgh’s Engagement Community of Practice (ECOP) is a supportive network that shares an interest in advancing the institution’s ecosystem of community-oriented and partnered teaching & learning, research, service, outreach, and programming.   

We hope you will join us for our fall Community of Practice meeting on Wednesday, October 6th from 10:00-11:30AM. This fall, we are joined by the Mascaro Center for Sustainable Innovation and Pitt Sustainability for an introduction to environmental justice, followed by a panel and breakout discussion. 

Panelists:

  • Moderated by Dr. Aurora Sharrard, Director of Sustainability
  • Sydney DuBose, undergraduate student, Environmental Science
  • Corey Flynn, research coordinator, Health and Rehabilitation Sciences
  • Dr. Marcela Gonzalez Rivas, assistant professor, GSPIA 
  • Jessica Vaden, graduate student, Civil & Environmental Engineering

Pitt’s ECOP convenes once per term (Fall, Spring, & Summer) and maintains an active online community through SharePoint (requires Pitt login). To join the group, please provide some information about yourself and your role through the following survey.
