Being able to communicate your research impact is an important skill that can be useful for tenure and promotion, grant applications, and other projects. This class covers how to use different bibliometrics, altmetrics, and data visualizations to help assess, benchmark, and communicate the impact of your work to different audiences. 

Upon completing this class, you should be able to:

  • Define what research impact means to you.
  • Describe the limitations of research metrics and how to use them responsibly.
  • Write a short research impact narrative using a variety of metrics.
