Colloquium with Paul McBurney

Join us as Paul 'Will' McBurney, Lecturer at University of Pennsylvania, presents "Objects, Classes, and Pez Dispensers."

In this talk, Dr. McBurney will demonstrate a classroom lecture on objects and classes in the Java programming language. This lecture comes from a CS1 Introductory Programming course with an objects-late paradigm. By this point in the semester, students will understand variables, data types, functions, arrays, and the basics of unit testing. This lecture will introduce the idea of classes and instances through the use of the real world physical examples of Pez Dispensers. This lecture will introduce constructors, fields, and methods of classes, as well as basic unit testing
