Why do adolescents emulate their peers’ behavior? Why are some girls especially likely to consider suicide following interpersonal stress? Is social media helpful or harmful to adolescents’ development? How can answers to psychological scientists’ questions (such as these) have impact outside of journals, to improve youths’ lives? These are questions I have been asking for many years, and I am excited to share what I have learned so far in response to each.
