Brian Geffert is the Global Chief Information Security Officer of KPMG International, where he leads information security and privacy in support of KPMG’s 120+ Member Firms around the world. He leads the development, implementation, and monitoring of a strategic, comprehensive enterprise information security and IT risk management program to ensure the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of information. Geffert has published on cloud security, insider threats, and HIPAA compliance, among other topics. He received his MBA from the University of Pittsburgh’s Joseph M. Katz Graduate School of Business and his BS from Penn State. Geffert is CIPP and CISSP certified and has served as professional faculty at Johns Hopkins University and the University of Maryland Global Campus teaching information security and assurance and is a Pitt Cyber Affiliate Practice Scholar.
