About this Event
All students, faculty, staff, and community members are welcome to join the Center for Health Equity Journal Club which facilitates dialogue about health equity among faculty, students, staff, and community members. We hope to spark an intellectually enriching discussion regarding ways to research a problem or design an intervention to contribute to the solution.
Meetings are scheduled for the first Friday of the month in September-November and February-April.
The March 4 meeting will focus on the article:
"Negative Patient Descriptors: Documenting Racial Bias in The Electronic Health Record" Sun, M. Oliwa, T, Peek, ME & Tung, EL. Health Affairs. 2022;41(2):203-11.soi:10.1377/hlthaff.2021.01423.
Facilitator: Sarah Annalise Sanders, PhD Student, Behaviroal & Community Health Sciences Department, School of Public Health
