The Allegheny Observatory and Rivervew Park are collaborating to celebrate Arbor Day.

This open house style event will connect physics and space related sciences with biological sciences through the MoonTree. The tree grew from a seed that was flown around the Moon by NASA. There will be hands-on activities, demonstrations, hikes, a Jazz musician, art activities and more. Some will be outside the Alleghney Observatory for everyone and some will be inside the Observatory and require a free, timed reservation.  The main target audience is children from K to 5th grade and their families, but all are welcome.
