About this Event
3700 O'Hara Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15261
The Department of Bioengineering at the Swanson School of Engineering received a grant from the NIH in 2023 to purchase a state-of-the-art microscope for the University of Pittsburgh community, which is now ready for use by researchers across the university!
We will be hosting an information session about using our microscope at 9:30 AM on Wednesday, December 4 in 102 Benedum Hall. Register here.
This microscope would be of interest to graduate students, postdocs, or PI’s studying:
More about this microscope:
The Bruker 2pPlus microscope, located in room 242 of the Center for Biotechnology and Bioengineering, provides the ability to perform in-vivo imaging deep within tissue and a wider field of view than most microscopes, resulting in clearer and more efficient imaging. Also equipped with a resonant and galvanometer-driver scan head and 4 GaAsP detectors, these parts can be used to measure blood flow or neural activity and simultaneous imaging.
The following publications highlight just some of the research possible with this microscope:
If you’re interested in coming in to test this microscope for yourself or using this microscope for an upcoming project, please attend the information session or contact Khari Goosby (khg11@pitt.edu) for more information.
