Join freelance writer, editor, and author Rachael Bindas on Wednesday, January 30, as she discusses her new children's book Before the Sun Wakes Up. A simple narrative combined with intentionally implicit artistic decisions,

Before the Sun Wakes Up is dedicated to promoting acceptance and equality in the minds of young children, to assure all children that they have a place in this world. The gender neutral and racially ambiguous character combined with the soft, papercut illustrations aim to encourage a more loving and accepting world.

Bindas is a Dietrich School senior majoring in English Writing and minoring in Gender, Sexuality, and Women's Studies. Her work has been featured in Totally Allure, Moledro Magazine, Aeons, The Curious Element Magazine, and The Holiday Cafe.
