DESCRIPTION:Student- and community-decorated rubber ducks will once again t
ake to the waves of Slate Run Creek on campus for this year's Duck Dash\,
part of the Blue & Gold Celebration. The ducks will race for the glory of
a spot in campus history!\n\nThe Duck Dash\, one of our newer campus tradi
tions\, is part of the campus observance of our Founders Day\, which marks
the date of Oct. 10\, 1962\, when University of Pittsburgh Chancellor Edw
ard H. Litchfield announced Pitt's intention to open a regional campus in
Greensburg\, PA.\n\nThe deadline has passed for entering a duck\, but you
can stop by the Pedestrian Bridge to cheer on the ducks while they ride th
e waves at Slate Run Creek.
