The Student National Pharmaceutical, Medical, and Dental Associations are collaborating with the Minority Student Organization of the School of Public Health and VITAL of the School of Nursing to host the second annual Black History Cultural Showcase!

This program will celebrate black culture featuring performances from singers, spoken word artists, gospel choirs, interpretive dancersĀ and more! The event will showcase the culture and growth of African Americans throughout the years.

There will be an emphasis on reflection of the first pioneers of African American healthcare professionals here at the University of Pittsburgh: the first nursing students, first dean within the university, first medical students, first pharmacy degree awarded starting in the early 1900s.

All proceeds from the event will be donated to the Funding for the Advancement of Minority Education (FAME). Everyone is welcome!!
