Join Equipoise and the Office of Institutional Engagement and Wellbeing as we kick off Black History Month 2026! The theme for Black History Month 2026 is "A Century of Black History Commemorations", marking the 100th anniversary of the first Black History Week in 1926 and exploring the ongoing significance and impact of these celebrations today.

Our kickoff event will include a panel discussion focused on the State of Affairs of African Americans at the University of Pittsburgh, facilitated by Dr. Shallegra Moye, Director of Educational Enrichment and Transition Programs, School of Education and Instructor, Department of Africana Studies.


All are welcome! Registration required. Light refreshments provided.
