Embracing the Unexpected: A Career of Unforeseen Paths and Opportunities

In this talk, I will provide an overview of my career path as a statistician from days as a student in the Department of Biostatistics at GSPH to my current role in the pharmaceutical industry.  I will review how my experiences over time helped shape my career development and my path to leadership, highlighting key learnings, pivot points and insights that were instrumental in my growth. Additionally, I will focus on a few case studies where innovative statistical design enabled key strategic decision-making, demonstrating the value that statisticians can bring in solving quantitative problems in cross-functional teams.
