About this Event
Join us July 1 at noon for a Zoom training session on how to develop your critical studies film course for Canvas hybrid teaching. Dana Och and Ali Patterson will lead this Best Practices workshop that builds on your existing Canvas knowledge to teach you how to embed films and lectures (including discussions about Zoom, Panopto, OBS, Adobe Spark), how to integrate synchronous Zoom and Chat options, and how to adapt classes for grading with specifications/contract model that can allow for students opting in for synchronous and asynchronous modalities. Sample course templates, sample writing assignments, and sample basic making assignments will be discussed and made available.
Pre-requisites: This workshop assumes you have already attended or viewed the Canvas 1-3 workshops at pi.tt/canvas. This workshop will not offer instruction in Canvas basics.
