
Grading student work is a process that, with some instructor planning, produces data that both students and instructors can use to improve student learning. This introductory-level, virtual workshop will introduce you to types of student assessments and the steps in the grading process. Employing the alignment model, you will have the opportunity to evaluate an assignment prompt and practice offering effective feedback. We will briefly discuss models of grading, including grading on a curve. Although this workshop will be pedagogy-focused, we will reserve some time in the end to address technology questions.
