Join this week's featured author, Ross Gay, in our virtual book club series, “Authors and Anecdotes”, as he discusses his book, Be Holding, which is scheduled to be published on September 8, 2020.  Be Holding is a love song to legendary basketball player Julius Erving—known as Dr. J—who dominated courts in the 1970s and ‘80s as a small forward for the Philadelphia ‘76ers, as well as over his career in both the NBA and ABA.

Click here to be directed to the University of Pittsburgh Press website to learn more about Be Holding. Purchasing options for the book is available on this site, and it can also be purchased at any independent bookstore of your choice. (While we encourage you to read the books ahead of time it is not a requirement to participate in the series.)

Join us as we not only discuss his new book, but also dive into Gay's personal literature collection, his favorite readings, and participate in a live Q&A!

The first 5 people who sign up and attend this book club session will receive a free copy of Be Holding, courtesy of the University of Pittsburgh Press!
