Age of Danger: Keeping America safe in an Era of New Superpowers, New weapons, and New Threats.

This is a past event.

Andrew Hoehn, (GSPIA MPIA '86), senior vice president of research and analysis at RAND Corporation, will discuss his new book written with Thom Shanker, director of the Project for Media and National Security. AGE OF DANGER: KEEPING AMERICA SAFE IN AN ERA OF NEW SUPERPOWERS, NEW WEAPONS, AND NEW THREATS provides a deep look into the U.S. national security apparatus, what went wrong with it, and why it doesn't protect us.

The authors use their incredible breadth of experience and contacts to assess the state of the US national security and the many challenges facing us today - China and Russia, emerging threats in pandemics, cybersecurity, climate change, and drones.  They then prescribe solutions for America to get back on track.

Thursday, September 21 at 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
