Amigurumi Basics

Amigurumi is the art of crocheting or knitting small stuff yarn dolls and originated in Japan.

This introductory workshop will jump-start your fiber art creativity by teaching you the basic patterns, structure, and technique and then guiding you through your first small amigurumi figure.

No prior art experience is required: amateurs and beginners welcome! Materials and supplies provided.

Facilitated by Mike Campbell, Center for Creativity: The Workshop. Mike is an artist with a background in sculpture and ceramic, but he loves to experiment and explore with any media. His art is influenced by his own identity and interest in popular culture and technology.

This workshop is free and open to all members of the University of Pittsburgh community: students, faculty, and staff. Pre-registration is required.

Tuesday, November 13 at 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The University Store on Fifth, Center for Creativity: The Workshop
