Keynote Speaker: Janos Kenyeres, University of Toronto
The keynote speech will critically examine the ways Hungarian identity has been given different meanings and forms of expression in recent centuries. Using important literary and theoretical works, Dr. Kenyeres will identify certain enduring articulations of national belonging from the time of Romanticism to the present, as expressed by writers working within Hungary and beyond. Join us for a stimulating exploration of Hungarian identity in literature.
