DESCRIPTION:As part of the Aging Institute's Research Seminar Series\, the 
 Aging Institute will be presentig a seminar with Dr. Harald Stenmark\,  Gr
 oup Leader\, and Professor at the Centre for Cancer Cell Reprogramming at 
 Oslo University Hospital in Oslo\, Norway.  He will be presenting  "Mechan
 isms that keep our lysosomes healthy\,”\n\nA central part of the Aging I
 nstitute (AI) Bridgeside Point mission is to promote innovative research i
 n aging and a rich environment for training a new generation of investigat
 ors in the aging field.  Beyond individualized mentorship\, we want to pro
 vide support in career development\, presentation skills\, grant writing a
 nd opportunities for collaboration and networking with researchers within 
 and outside the University.\n\nThe research seminars will be followed by a
  gathering to stimulate informal discussions\, socialization and networkin
 g.  All postdocs are highly encouraged to attend this event to allow infor
 mal interaction with faculty and familiarize postdocs with the non-scienti
 fic skills required to pursue and succeed in an academic career.
