 yan Shi\, PhD\, who is a Tenured  Associate Professor in the Shu Chien-Gen
 e Lay Department of Bioengineering at the UC San Diego Jacobs School of En
 gineer will present “Multimodal Nanoscopy for Imaging Metabolic Dynamics
  in Aging and Disease”. \n\nA central part of the Aging Institute (AI) B
 ridgeside Point mission is to promote innovative research in aging and a r
 ich environment for training a new generation of investigators in the agin
 g field.  Beyond individualized mentorship\, we want to provide support in
  career development\, presentation skills\, grant writing and opportunitie
 s for collaboration and networking with researchers within and outside the
  University.\n\nThe research seminars will be followed by a gathering to s
 timulate informal discussions\, socialization and networking.  All postdoc
 s are highly encouraged to attend this event to allow informal interaction
  with faculty and familiarize postdocs with the non-scientific skills requ
 ired to pursue and succeed in an academic career.
