As part of the Aging Institute's Research Seminar Series, Lingyan Shi, PhD, who is a Tenured Associate Professor in the Shu Chien-Gene Lay Department of Bioengineering at the UC San Diego Jacobs School of Engineer will present “Multimodal Nanoscopy for Imaging Metabolic Dynamics in Aging and Disease”.
A central part of the Aging Institute (AI) Bridgeside Point mission is to promote innovative research in aging and a rich environment for training a new generation of investigators in the aging field. Beyond individualized mentorship, we want to provide support in career development, presentation skills, grant writing and opportunities for collaboration and networking with researchers within and outside the University.
The research seminars will be followed by a gathering to stimulate informal discussions, socialization and networking. All postdocs are highly encouraged to attend this event to allow informal interaction with faculty and familiarize postdocs with the non-scientific skills required to pursue and succeed in an academic career.
