African and Greek American Women Visionaries of the Civil Rights Struggle

Women’s History Month Celebration

In commemoration of the known and lesser-known women heroes in the African-American and Greek-American communities, the African Heritage Room and the Greek Room Committees of the Nationality Rooms Program at the University of Pittsburgh, the Rodman Street Missionary Baptist Church & the American-Hellenic Foundation of WesternPA, are joining hands and spirit to confirm that all Americans are created equal and that there can be no intolerance or ignorance or hate among Americans in Western PA.

Enjoy an afternoon of song, poem, rememberance and tribute to all the women who were the unsung heroes in amplifying the historic events in the spring of 1965.

Light traditional Greek food and refreshments will be served following the event.
