The event will begin with a presentation by the Montréal Monstrum Society on the life and career of Romero, “An Empire of the Dead: A History of George A. Romero”.
This is one of the inaugural events of "Romero Lives!", the citywide, ongoing celebration of the life and legacies of George A. Romero, the Pittsburgh filmmaker behind Night of the Living Dead (1968), Dawn of the Dead (1978), Day of the Dead(1985), Creepshow (1982), and many, many more.
This presentation will provide a dynamic, interactive overview of Romero’s career, introducing audiences to some of his lesser-known work and going in-depth into enduring masterpieces like Night of the Living Dead, Dawn of the Dead, and Martin.
