Join GSPIA's Ford Institute for Human Security for a breakfast briefing with Ambassador Rick Barton. Barton will discuss his new book Peace Works: America's Unifying Role in a Turbulent World, which combines stories, history, and analysis to explore global conflicts and how to improve the chances for peace in an innovative, disruptive, and thoughtful way.
Barton served as Ambassador to the United Nations and was the first Assistant Secretary for Conflict and Stabilization Operations under President Barack Obama. He has led conflict management initiatives in crisis zones across the globe, and currently teaches at the Woodrow Wilson School at Princeton University.
