The global Gender Equality in Public Administration report will be launched at the 2021 High-Level Political Forum (HLPF). Co-hosted by the Government of Iceland, UNDP, and the University of Pittsburgh, this event will reveal the latest trends and analysis from the report, including data on women’s leadership in the COVID-19 response; gender equality and inclusive, participatory, and representative institutions; and SDG 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions. The event will also highlight recommendations for how to build forward better, shift the balance of power, and shatter glass ceilings and glass walls in public institutions.
The global report will be launched virtually at the UN HIGH-LEVEL POLITICAL FORUM (HLPF) 2021, where Dr. Finkel and Dr. Hughes will present key findings on women’s participation and leadership in public administrations globally and will be joined by policy makers from around the world, as they discuss the implications of their findings. This HLPF is the core United Nations platform for follow-up and review of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and its 17 Sustainable Development Goals.
The event is in English. Interpretation is available in Arabic, French and Spanish.
