COVID-19 on Campus

Designated as a Public Health Grand Rounds event.

Dr. John Williams is Chief of the Division of Pediatric Infectious Diseases at Children’s Hospital. Dr. Williams serves on the Chancellor’s Healthcare Advisory Group (HCAG) which works to guide University of Pittsburgh decisionmakers in their ongoing response to the COVID-19 virus.

Dr. Margaret McDonald is Associate Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs and International Programs, Health Sciences and is an associate professor of of epidemiology and psychiatry. 

Williams and McDonald will share an update on the current COVID conditions on Pitt’s campus and reflect on his experience serving on the HCAG during this public health crisis.

Each week, Pitt Public Health experts will have a conversation about different aspects of the COVID-19 pandemic and then address questions from seminar attendees. The goal of the fall COVID-19 seminar series is to provide our school community, alumni, and the public with credible information about the virus and the associated health impacts.  Fridays - 4:00-5:00 p.m.  Sessions will be recorded.

**Important note to Pitt Public Health Students: This is a PUBHLT 2022: The Dean’s Public Health Grand Rounds approved event.**
