 E) in kicking off its 25th Anniversary celebration with the 27th Annual Mc
 Clean Lecture on Tues.\, Sept. 22 at 12:30 p.m. This year’s event\, gone
  virtual\, will feature Pitt Law alum Elizabeth Shackelford (JD ’06). El
 izabeth received the Barbara Watson Award for Consular Excellence\, for he
 r work in evacuating US citizens from South Sudan and wrote an award-winni
 ng novel\, “The Dissent Channel: American Diplomacy in a Dishonest Age\,
 ” which tells the story of her work in South Sudan and provides a stark 
 assessment of current on-the-ground US foreign policy. \n\nThis program ha
 s been approved by CLE for (1) hour of CLE Credit. There is a $30 fee for 
 processing CLE credit for this event. Attendance is free if you do not req
 uire CLE credit. \n\nAutographed copies of the book will be available for 
 purchase at the University Store. \n\nRegister here. Attendees will receiv
 e a confirmation email upon a successful registration.
