The Oratory Contest is a public speaking contest for undergraduates only, but open to students from any undergraduate school within the University. There are four categories of competition: Persuasive Policy Speeches, Commemorative Values Speeches, Speeches of Diversity and Inclusion (all three of these categories are open to all participants), and Graduation/Commencement, which is limited to graduating Communication majors. Speakers will be judged by Department of Communication faculty. Monetary prizes will be given to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners in each category.
Breakfast refreshments and pizza for lunch!
