Randall Kennedy holds the Michael R. Klein Professorship at Harvard Law School. A graduate of Princeton University and Yale Law School, he clerked for Justice Thurgood Marshall and is the author of several influential books, including Say It Loud! On Race, Law, History, and Culture.
In this timely and thought-provoking lecture, Professor Kennedy will examine competing currents of optimism and pessimism in racial thought throughout American history, offering insight into the legal, cultural, and political forces that continue to shape the national conversation on race.
