Applications for the 2025 SHRS Innovation Challenge, which aims to move early-stage discoveries from the University of Pittsburgh's School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences towards the market, are now being accepted.

The Challenge includes a 4-week virtual course that provides university-based researchers with key insights into exploring the market potential of their work and learning entrepreneurial skills.
It culminates in a final innovation pitch competition to a panel of entrepreneurial judges.

Who can apply? 

• Faculty, students, and staff (individually or as a team)
• Principal Investigator (PI) must be a faculty or postdoc located in the SHRS
• Application must focus on advancing University of Pittsburgh intellectual property
• Applicants should be eager to learn and engage in commercialization of university technology discoveries

Finalists will compete for an award total of now $40,000. 
First Place: $20,000 | Second Place: $10,000 | Third Place: $10,000
