The 2024 Race &... Conference: Pitt Global – Africa and the African Diaspora will take place beginning at 9 a.m. on Friday, September 27, in the William Pitt Union.

The conference will include a global marketplace, student presentations, a luncheon featuring African-influenced cuisines from around the world, and a research showcase and panel discussion that highlight the work of Pitt scholars in Africa and in nations populated by people of African descent across the globe.

The Office of Faculty Diversity and Development (FDD) is collaborating with the Center for African Studies (CAS), the Center for Latin American Studies (CLAS), and the University Center for International Studies (UCIS) to present a multi-day global experience. This University-wide global experience will showcase the outstanding work that Pitt faculty and the race-related centers are conducting across Africa and the African Diaspora.
