The Human Research Protection Office (HRPO) is centered on the belief that providing resources to the research community helps to ensure the conduct of regulatory compliant research. This in turn leads to the protection of individuals who choose to participate in the wide array of projects available across campus and around the world. Our office offers consultations, training programs, and a dedicated mailbox (askirb@pitt.edu) to support all our researchers (faculty, staff, and students). We hope you will have an opportunity to get to know us, our professional staff, and the more than 180 faculty and community members who volunteer their time to protect human subjects and facilitate research.
